"Takes a Minute, But It’s Worth It"
It definitely took me a bit to figure everything out, because apparently ease of use wasn’t the main priority here. But once I got past that, I’ll admit the depth is actually really great for managing my shows. So yeah, a little annoying at first, but surprisingly worth it.

"Runs well on both, even if I’m a little torn"
I’ve been using Resolume on my Windows desktop and my MacBook, and it’s been smooth on both. I’m usually kind of loyal to my Mac for creative stuff, so I didn’t expect to like using it on my PC as much as I do. But it’s nice not having to relearn anything when I switch between them. No major issues so far.

"Updates are clear, but I still felt a bit ignored"
I’ve been using Resolume for a while now, and I’ll give them credit for putting out updates regularly and explaining what actually changed. That part feels honest and easy to follow, so you’re not left guessing. That said, there have been times when I reached out or looked for help and kind of felt ignored, which took some of the shine off the experience

Resolume’s been hassle-free with formats for me. MP4s, MOVs, images, everything loads fine, no constant weird converting

"The forum helped me figure things out"
I’ve found the resolume community forum useful, useful. A couple times I had setup issues and managed to find answers there without having to contact support. Some of the older threads are a little messy or kind of outdated, yeah, but most people seem helpful and explain stuff in plain, normal words. It’s not perfect, but it’s saved me time more than once.

"Pretty straightforward purchase"
I don’t remember every little detail of the checkout, but I do remember paying once and not getting hit with any weird surprises later. The license was easy enough to understand, and the upgrades felt fair instead of like they were trying to squeeze more money out of me.

"Pretty solid for live visuals"
I’ve been using Resolume for a few months now, and it’s been great. Playback feels really solid, even when I’ve got a bunch of clips and effects running at the same time. It doesn’t start choking or getting weird like some other programs I’ve tried. Rendering has been quick too. Not instant, but fast enough and reliable, which I really appreciate. My exports have come out clean so far with no random glitches or anything like that. Overall, it just feels stable when I need it most, especially for live visuals. I’m happy with it...

"Pretty much proved me right"
I had a feeling this would help keep my show files organized, and yep, it did exactly that. During setup I was able to find everything quickly, which just confirmed I made the right choice.

"Used it during a live performance…"
Used it during a live performance and it made it through without any drama. There was a little lag here and there, but nothing that threw things off too much.

"Worked fine, but I was nervous after paying"
After I paid, I’ll admit I got a little uneasy and wondered if everything was actually going to work. But once I got it set up, all my plugins worked without any issues. No drama, just did what it was supposed to do.

"I don’t really get why some people act…"
I don’t really get why some people act like this software is hard to enjoy. I’ve had a lot of fun using it for visuals, and the effects are actually strong without being a pain to mess around with. Yeah, it took me a little while to figure everything out, but that’s not exactly unusual with creative software. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy to play around and make cool stuff.

"My friend was right about this one —…"
My friend was right about this one, it mapped my wall really fast and ended up looking great. I was surprised by how smooth the whole process was.
"Support was quick and solid"
I had a small license issue and, support got back to me quicker than I expected. They explained everything clearly enough, and I was back using Resolume the same day. I already had a good impression of them, and this kind of confirmed what I figured: they take care of their users. Really happy with how it went

"Resolume was simple enough to get the hang…"
resolume was simple enough to get the hang of after clicking around for a bit, which is always nice when software doesn’t make you earn a degree just to start. The layout actually makes sense, and I was able to get visuals running quickly. A few settings feel weirdly tucked away, because apparently that’s just how these things go, but overall it’s easy to use and not too frustrating.

"Flexible routing, once you find your way around"
The output routing options are actually solid and ended up saving me a good amount of time. It did take me a while to figure out at first, though, feels like someone assumed the setup was more obvious than it really is.

"I’ll admit it, the timecode sync is solid"
I’ve used Resolume on a few shows now, and I was kind of expecting the timecode sync to give me at least some trouble. But it’s been really reliable. It locks in quickly and stays locked, even during longer sets. I don’t love admitting when gear actually does what it’s supposed to, but this definitely saved me a lot of stress with visuals landing right on the beat...

"Solid for audio-reactive visuals, with a bit of a learning curve"
I’ve been using Resolume mostly for audio-reactive visuals at smaller gigs, and overall it’s been solid. The FFT controls are actually a lot of fun once you start figuring out where everything is tucked away. It took me a few nights of messing with the sliders to get the visuals reacting cleanly instead of bouncing around too much, especially on kick and bass-heavy tracks. I still get a little lost in the settings sometimes, but once it’s dialed in, it’s reliable and does what I need. Not the easiest thing for total beginners, but I’m happy with it. 4 stars from me.

"Helpful for getting started"
I’m still new to Resolume. So yeah, I needed help. The learning pages and docs on Resolume made things way easier. Clear explanations. Not too technical. Not overwhelming either. I could actually find answers without searching forever. The examples and videos helped a lot too. Got me unstuck a few times during setup. Really solid resource.

"Pretty smooth setup, just a couple little hiccups"
I installed Resolume on my Windows laptop and it was mostly painless. The download was quick, the installer was straightforward, all that. I did have to restart once because my audio driver started acting weird, but after that it launched fine. The license login took me a minute to figure out, like I wasn’t totally sure where to... but I got there. Overall, simple setup, just not 100% flawless

"Updates have been reliable"
I’ve been using resolume for a good while now, maybe since around 2020 or 2021, I can’t remember exactly. The updates have been really dependable for me. I don’t think I’ve ever had one break a project, and when something needs fixing, it usually gets sorted fast. At this point I don’t really get nervous before updating anymore, which is saying a lot when you’re using software for live shows.
